One can just click the little buttons once, and get on with the business of the day. I don't understand why this seems so hard?

Because it's not just once, nearly on every release it's some new bullshit feature.

These buttons get a little bit more darker to where the buttons are so little they hide. Hidden in obscure locations wasting my time to get on with my day.

It's nice and I didn't know about it but I wouldn't pay for it. Not for another chromium browser. I would easily pay 60/yr for firefox though if Mozilla would let me. I'm not donating to the foundation, they waste too much money on stuff that doesn't matter. I don't want them to be an NGO, I just want them to make a good browser :)

They have a store selling caps, t-shirts and keyboards. That's one way to donate while getting cool stuff

It's inferior in theory. In practice, it's just as good. That's the point -- was my comment somehow unclear?

The point is that your anecdote has opposing obvious data from the literal creator backing it up that the solution you are using is inferior, even if you personally think its fine. Lots of people browse the internet with ads on and think its fine too. Everyone else can use their eyes and read why and see its inferior so your anecdote is as pointless as a home remedy.

Isn't that the same problem though, that the profit goes to the foundation not the corporation?

However it is a nice idea, I would love a firefox mug or something. Microsoft has lobbied our company to remove firefox and chrome from all computers so we must use edge everywhere and it would be a nice passive-agressive move for me to have firefox merchandise everywhere. I work in IT so the people that decided this shit are around me.

Also, do you understand the distinction between "in theory" and "in practice"? Because nothing you have written so far suggests that you are understanding the main point I'm making.

And if you're going to attack the quality of my comment history, perhaps consider the fact that I have over 80,000 account upvotes, virtually exclusively from comments instead of submissions. I've never once had to mention anything like that to anyone else on HN, but I've never once had anyone else try to impugn my reputation the way you are either.
