Its why I built https://terrarose.org. while it only has a couple of users, and a couple of posts. Its a social media platform you have to pay 5 dollars a month for.

No ads, no tracking, no bots (hence the price).

Its just me working on it, but it does work. :)

How do you do that with email?

Your replies are to the mailing list address (we use groups.io). The server gets to decide whether or not to forward your reply to the rest of the mailing list based on the age of the topic.
