I think Steve Jobs was prepared for it. I remember reading that the book was originally due out in Spring of 2012. He changed the deadline 5-6 months earlier for Fall of 2011.

As I played Castle, I noticed the manual for the Applesoft programming language sitting next to the computer. I cracked it open and realized I could break into the monitor and see the source code. #209What Apple is going to be missing without Steve Jobs isn't creative talent or even someone capable of saying 'no.' It's going to be missing someone who has the absolute credibility to say it. Anyone can be a tyrant. If Steve Jobs was a dictator, it was because people thought he had the right to be.
A very well earned right and credibility indeed. Very few turnaround stories in the tech industry that are of the magniture of Apple's.
I'm not sure there's a single story of the same magnitude. And that isn't sentimentality talking, I can't think of anything.
