My guess is that the whole project including the selection of chips was made by an AI.
I also don't like it when humans silently pass off LLM work as their own.
Prompting is not the same as doing the work. There are ways to genuinely collaborate with LLMs, but if someone silently takes full credit for work generated by LLMs, my assumption is they probably vibe coded it.

The temp sensor and transceiver PCB are cast into urethane and the coil gets installed into the hotplate. In theory lets you do all kinds of interesting stuff like monitoring when you can't get a wired probe into the vessel, or to drive a control loop that actually monitors the liquid and not the plate temperature.

#24is it possible to do this with a wearable? say jewelry? i've been fascinated with the whole digital to physical world dislocation and this inspires me to dust off an old idea of around the world "collecting" passport stamps but the only way to actually collect them is by a physical tap. similarly, i can see jewelry that lights up upon being tapped by a phone or together. fun
Yes, but there are limits on the minimum size. The smallest off the shelf tag I have seen is about 10mm diameter disk sticker.

There are 3x3mm NFC chips but their read range is 2mm..

I found that incredibly cheap ; )

My guess as well. I don't like it when humans silently pass off LLM writing as their own. I also don't like it when humans silently pass off LLM work as their own. Prompting is not the same as doing the work. There are ways to genuinely collaborate with LLMs, but if someone silently takes full credit for work generated by LLMs, my assumption is they probably vibe coded it.
