#22I understand person is a board member of conduct group for FDO. But using the redhat email is definitely a 1990s power move.
If RH or IBM have no association, then this is likely grounds for punishment or sudden dismissal. Even if the RH guy is “right”.
Whole situation smells to me.

#23Does RH even have any association with FDO? If not, then why was the decision made to send from a redhat email rather than an FDO or personal email? Vaxry has since responded to this and apologized numerous times. As he states many times in his blogposts, he ais apologetic for this incident I, like him, fail to see why this keeps on being brung up. The server and him have changed drastically, it's not very fair to judge a changed person on their past actions.

Have you read the email conversation in question? Surely it made you concerned at least a little in regards to the state of FDO and RedHat? Thinly and not so thinly veiled threats to another person to police their own, not related to FDO in any way, shape or form, community because it does not adhere to your political ideology sounds like a severe abuse of power to me.

You can fulminate about trans people all you like in the quiet of your own home, but if you harass or intimidate them in a publicly viewable way, there will be consequences. And when a code of conduct board member for a project approaches you and tells you you need to do better, any response other than "Yes, sir/ma'am/other, I will do better" is grounds for questioning whether you should be permitted to contribute further to the project.
