And that's "if used correctly".

Now add passion, alcohol, nails, wrong lubricants, and ignorance for a much worse rate.

I'm not sure where you live, but those choices are not available everywhere. In the USA, they are actively being taken away. So regardless of what choices should be available, your stance is woefully out of touch with reality.

Unless you're Hitler, memorials always focus on the positive. The "jerk" side of Jobs is well documented and well known. Having used Apple products since the Apple II+, I've followed Jobs from nearly the beginning.

I recall when he left Apple and started Next, there were plenty of articles that talked to Apple employees at the time who would tell stories of getting berated by Jobs. But the employees also asked to remain anonymous. "Why?" asked the writer. "Because I want the opportunity to work for him again."

Leadership can be all positive focused feedback (the current trend), all negative focused feedback or or mix (which Jobs was). You're either Brilliant or a Bozo.

Don't be a bozo. Positive focused feedback really doesn't help with that.

To me or more reads like someone trying to deal with his god-complex or something.

Just saw the actual speech with this text. Sounds totally positive like that. The e-mail at first looked like some sort of daily affirmations.

Many people (used?) to do that as reminders. It was a cross device solution too when there’s was not that many simple, instant ways to share todos between devices.

So, an habit inherited from a time before app/web apps that sync and are in constant connection.

Sure, I still do that, just for quick reminders and sometimes to move files from my phone to desktop if I don't have a cable handy.

I know there's all sorts of reminder/ notes apps available, but why sign up for yet another account when email does the job?
