Why "in Finland" has been removed from the title? As it stands, it suggests there is some global decline whereas no evidence has been presented for it - at least not in this article.

I don't think there's anything controversial in stating that on average women still do most of the work around the house, including with children, and earn less for their actual work hence easily becoming financially dependent on a partner. I read somewhere that when women started working more the average cost of life rose so the double income doesn't cover more than one did before, basically causing mothers to become more dependant on a partner than previously. This was in the US.

what makes you think testosterone has an impact on the female orgasm?
Whether it's testosterone or something else, hormones impact the libido. And plastics are known to leach out endocrine disrupting chemicals.

#27I haven't read the whole paper, but in looking for keywords and skimming through the determinants section, I don't see anywhere that the researchers have taken in to account the partner's gender. Most of the time, it's "partner" (gender indeterminate), but whenever it is mentioned, the gender is always male. Has this paper acknowledged same-sex relationships, at all? (Apologies for the sex/gender conflation)

No. Nor many heterosexual practices. It generally conflates "orgasm" with "orgasm during penile-vaginal intercourse" and has only very little handwaving to justify this. It mentions "oral stimulation, then orgasm during intercourse" but doesn't acknowledge something like "oral stimulation until orgasm, followed by intercourse without" -- would this count as an "orgasm" according to their definitions? Impossible to say.
There is also the assertion that female masturbation has increased a lot over time, but orgasms haven't. Wouldn't this imply that women masturbate more and more without orgasming? Isn't this an interesting issue that should be discussed? Do women not intend to orgasm from masturbation, or are they trying but failing to do so?

Is it common for medical professionals to take this kind of self-reporting seriously? I have close to zero memories about age 5. In addition, I know 5-year-olds and know that they have very little awareness of their own bodies, such as when they are about to pee themselves. I find it very hard to imagine that an adult could have reliable memories about orgasming at age 5.
