I'm running a startup which offers the same solution as Google AuotML Tables. Recently I decided to go open source. I will need to compare my solution with Google AutoML Tables (compare in terms of final model accuracy). But anyway I think many times the best model accuracy is not the most important in ML solutions.

Any ideas what can I do with such a situation with my solution? Can I compete with Google?

Google Cloud does not use customer data for Google's search graph. No cloud does this.

From Google: "At Google Cloud, we do not access customer data for any reason other than those necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you. Technical controls require valid business justifications for any access by support or engineering personnel to your content. Google also performs regular audits of accesses by administrators as a check on the effectiveness of our controls."

Like anything you will need to focus on your differentiation and doing what others cannot or will not do. For instance Google requires you to bring your data to them (GCP). In many cases it may be better/easier to move the compute rather than the data. Perhaps you can bring your system to a customer's data more easily?

Hi @minimaxir, I just checked the readme of your project. It looks great, there's a mention to integrate Polyaxon[0] for running jobs in distributed way on Kubernetes. Let me know if you need any help with that.

How is AWS not being consumer facing relevant? Both Google and Amazon started out being consumer facing and now have a cloud division. Their cloud divisions not being consumer facing is irrelevant.

The person I'm responding to is comparing product shutdowns between AWS (a cloud services divsion of Amazon) to Google (a company that contains both a cloud services division and a vastly larger consumper products division). Oh I see now, you were essentially saying you cannot compare Google (consumer-facing, retiring apps) with Google Cloud or AWS (B2B).

This makes sense.

BTW: I'm on your side, I get tired about these "how long before google shuts X down" useless comments, I was just confused by your statement.
