Does anyone have an idea about the expected global response to the Secretary of the Treasury labeling China a currency manipulator?

There's other stuff he can do on his own authority (e.g., a hiring freeze), or that requires the power of the presidency (e.g., nominating a justice).

Whilst the concision is nice, it's pretty hand-wavy and without definition.
Hand-wavy? It has explicit action steps.
Whatever you think about Trump or the policies in that document, it's clearer and more concise than anything I've seen from an elected official.
many contracts start out this way then turn into actual contracts full of legalese. in government context that would be legislation.
this isn't a bad start at all if a reasonable amount of it actually happens.
"All vetting of people coming into our country will be considered “extreme vetting.” " I visit the US every year to see friends. Some of whom are Arab-American. I'm seriously worried that I'm going to find myself on the receiving end of 'extreme vetting'.
