it's not going to effect my day Sorry to be a pedant, but: affect Thumb rule: when used as a verb, it's pretty much always "affect"; when a noun, "effect".

When I was young and learned that, I equated "Affect" to "Action", making "Effect" "Not An Action." It's silly, but I still use it to this day.

Aren't they cash flow negative? If so, they're actually saving money the longer they're down. Maybe it's a cost-cutting maneuver. :)

It seems more of a DNS round robin thing. I did jump to think of China when I first saw the headline also.

It's not always true though... better learn the actual meaning so you don't correct non-mistakes.
