Yes correct, I vehemently disagree with people who say things like the first paragraph. I definitely should have been more clear that that was not my opinion, but it's too late to edit now

Eh, I think I disagree. We should support a convention of reading all of the paragraphs to the posts we are responding to, not just the first one.

While being a worthy goal, this wasn't the issue here at all. I did read his comment fully and I did read comments indicating the now confirmed interpretation, and due to that (not despite) I made my own comment, asking for the basis of that interpretation, because I don't share it.

Logging into my work computer, to work in the company network: yeah very sketchy.

That isn't the one they're banning. The law isn't as autistic as nerds think it is.

But the argument that VPNs are inherently evil, to support such legislation, is.

How are you not blocked by banking, shopping, even sometimes google search?

Just change servers. Never had a problem with any of those and I have a VPN on my router covering all devices. Use Brave search instead, Google search has terrible a privacy policy.

Bank is only reason why I'm turning VPN off, but it's for a few minutes. So not so much tracking.

That doesn't explain all the lower-HHI people moving to and praising Texas.

I'm not aware of lower HHI people moving to and praising Texas, nor have I witnessed it. What is happening is wealthy Californians moving to Texas, driving prices of homes up, and pricing out locals. I don't even know how you have heard the voices of lower HHI people. They're hardly ever interviewed, and they don't write think pieces for media outlets. They're just...poor.

Talk to them, like everyone else.

> What is happening is wealthy Californians moving to Texas

Maybe that's who you talk to. :)

Seriously, wealthy Californians can't account for the population growth, nor in Florida. I hear about low to mid-HHI people going to TX; I think I've read about it, but no time now ...

You can't do much with VPNs these days, almost any website now has antibot systems and it's actually kid's play to detect whether you are on VPN or not.

As someone who browses Internet through a vpn 99.9% of the time - no, they can't. There wasn't a single time when vpn was the problem.
