It won’t matter. They don’t need to know about the room mates. They know everybody now has $1000 which means they simply raise the rent. I would wager that minimum rent becomes close to if not $1000.
and? minimum rent becomes the government stipend so you now live rent-free. the cash you make at your otherwise crappy, barely-keep-the-lights-on minimum-wage job is now going to pay for other things.
You failed to think that land lords already make money. They can get what they have plus the government minimum.
