The only other hosted solution (other than Okta and AAD) I have ever seen at my clients is Ping. In comparison, all the other players are nowhere as nearly established.

However, their 'Rules' system for hooking into the Auth request is abstracted at the Auth0 account level rather than the individual app level. That makes it too easy to accidentally screw up all of the apps on an account.

Agreed, I found it hard to write integrations with Okta and ended up using Keycloak and integrating it as an OIDC client. I found Keycloak extremely easy to setup and work with.
I wish keycloak has smaller memory footprint so I can cram it in a small vps together with other small webapps. Other than that it's excellent.
