Flip it on its head: don’t start with an idea. Start by identifying a group of people you belong to (e.g. “Rails developers”), because it gives you an instant leg up in knowing their struggles. Then research their struggles. Write about them, and solve them. Grow an audience (read: email list). #184^^ I built this more or less on a bet about a year ago. Give it a dollar and it will give you a startup business idea.
(No Markov chains here, it's a couple of arrays of industries and keywords and a JS function that uses Math.random()... )
