Mine is a side business: https://panelbear.com/ I started building it for myself at first, scratching my own itch. I don’t feel the same pressure as I had with my open source projects. I’ve been adding features when I feel the need for my own use (i.e. alerting system), or customers made a good point for why it’d be useful. Also, I don’t work on stuff that nobody requested yet. For example, you can’t even change your…

I like the project. Gl! Reading through, change "loose' to "lose" in: > you won't loose data as soon as you reach the limit.

Thanks for the input!

Vertical indoor farm to reach the highest throughout possible per cubic meter are, using only non-GMO plants by discovering the right phenomics- https://hexafarms.com Vertical indoor farms are getting a lot of attention in the recent times, but the issue is the lack of plant expertise. Even if you were to go through all the literature, you would never find a holistic study that takes into account all the optimal fact…

Please tell me "seed-money" was a pun intended moment.

Jokes aside, from a biology perspective why the aversion to GMO? From an ML perspective, what are you optimizing for - maximized growth rate?

For me it’s the Zettelkasten/smart notes app I’m working on. I’ve been a frustrated with how I take notes from books, videos, blog posts, etc. I want to build a zero-inbox style workflow around organising my notes consistently so that I can start to blog with a wealth of research and ideas at my fingertips. So I’ve started building Flowtelic. Early (no signup/in browser storage) version is live at https://app.flowtel…

Powerfully simple. I'd love to be able to self-host this, or at least use it someplace with more persistance and sync across devices.

Async planning tool Bearicorn (https://bearicorn.com/)

I started this two months ago and it's suppose to be a tool which helps me with personal planning. Sharing tasks with my wife, colleagues, friends and employees.

It's a side project and I still have a job, so I work during evenings and nights on it.

> "... but it didn't help that you didn't answer any of the (pretty serious) questions raised in response to your announcement." Please be kind. This thread is about self-promotion. There's no need to dig up his past just to flog a dead horse.

It's the OP who brought it up while implying less than civil behavior on HN crowd's part.

I made this iOS game: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/two-birds-one-stone/id15396463... I have wanted to be able to play this game for a long time, and probably thanks to pandemic, I did the work to enable it to be shared with others. It has made a grand total of 3 sales this year, and that isn't really bothering me (the main frustration is the apple developer fee...) There is various info (including a trailer of sorts…

Very cool! You have one more download now :) Please add music!! :) I have kind of the same experience with the little game I made a while back (lots of effort, but no marketing, so no sales...). Shameless plug: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mayday./id956530400

Nice - I got a score of 23, which I think qualifies as "not very good, but at least I gave it a shot".

Thanks for the download.

I answered the question in the first section of my blog -- I copied the `ArcTo` code from WebKit and I admitted it was a license mistake, and the copied code had been deleted 3 years ago.

This is good to know. My point was that your original post could've used more engagement on your part, in place. Especially when it came to the uncomfortable questions.
