CollegeBacker | Lead Software Engineer | San Francisco, CA | Full-Time, https://collegebacker.com

CollegeBacker is a fintech/edtech company making saving for college easy, collaborative, and tax-advantaged. We're looking to hire a versatile full-stack software engineer to become an indispensable member of our founding team – employee #1 – to assume great responsibility by helping us build our architecture from the ground up.

Backed by 500 Startups, Princeton University, and industry angels like Matt Humphrey (LendingHome) and Sam Yam (Patreon), we're on a mission to reinvent the way Americans save for college. Today, 50% of parents aren’t saving for college at all, and less than 3% of U.S. families that could benefit from a 529 College Savings Plan are actually enrolled in one. With CollegeBacker, a parent can open a 529 in minutes with just $25, determine a smart savings goal specific to their child, and enlist family and friends as "Backers."

If interested, shoot me an email: abby at collegebacker
