There's ungoogled chromium for that. Also doing that doesn't solve the standards problem we currently have. Google is able to push through any "standard". are you being intentionally ignorant? the more browsers in popular use, the less control each has. currently Chrome has more usage than the other browsers combined:

Can you imagine being on the team responsible for the mobile web Reddit experience? Having to implement a feature that tells every user, repeatedly, that their work is subpar and to please use something else.

Thanks a lot! It works, but it's pretty unusable, even Google doesn't work and just hangs (like almost all other sites). Only HN seemed to work.

Do you mean transformer as in AI algorithm or transformer as in some sort of content transformer?

Browsers have already STT engines embedded and stuff like that. Not LMs but close.

Diversification and modern codebases. Without these two we’re locked to made in US browsers full of CVEs. I don’t think any nation state can audit Chromium today, not even US DoD.

Does this do anything to improve the browser as a user agent? That is an agent that obeys the user over the server. None of the current browsers are user friendly and none are scriptable except by experts wielding large external programs.

It should be possible to write a simple shell script to navigate the web, to log in to web sites, to extract information. Or something like Visual Basic.

I primarily use Safari on Mac / iPhone because it's integrated with iCloud Keychain. I also use Brave because it's the only browser with which I've been able to screenshare streaming sites for group viewing without getting a black page due to DRM.
