Otherwise that’s the dumbest design decision I’ve ever seen them make on the iPhone hardware. It’s worse than the protruding camera that they STILL have.

#156Probably not a good sign that FaceID failed on stage for Craig on his first try (had to use a passcode to log in) during the demo.
I don't think it failed, it just said you had to use passcode on first login after restart, just like the touchID

#157It's interesting how Apple is moving away from being the first phone with a feature (face id, Samsung did that before, or oled displays that are edge to edge). I think the shift from that innovation is a maturing step, but also a sign that the company is aging poorly. They can no longer claim to be leading with creation, just with quality.
