As I was driving into the office today, passing all these auto dealerships, big, small, and mom and pops small. I wondered if they have an exit plan. In 5 years or less, every automobile manufacturer will have a self driving car. Will it make their inventory obsolete or a lot less valuable? Will it make my car a lot less valuable? There are the occasional stories about companies that draw water from a local community for their own purposes, usually for retail, when that community would likely be better off without that relationship. In some cases there are shenigans involved and complaints over the contracts.
