I think it's the job, not the person. All sorts of people work at the TSA; clearly it's endemic to the TSA, not to the people who work there.

You have to deal with pissed people all day who don’t listen at all. And if you make the tiniest mistake you could be the person who failed to stop the next 9/11. Doing the same three or four things screening people all day long has got to be mind numbingly boring. Unless you’re at an airport that isn’t constantly busy where instead you get to stand around doing nothing, which can be worse. It honestly sounds like a…

Yep, just think of those people in front of you, that pass the same several large signs telling them to make sure that all their liquids are in a 1 litre ziplock bag and have that bag ready for inspection (this is in Europe) … and then doing a surprised Pikachu when the security personell asks them about why their perfume isn’t in said bag. Then starting to repack their hand luggage while the whole queue has to wait and watch.

And you only experience those few people in front of you. The security staff has them all day long.

What assumption? Well funded and planned security threats are overwhelmingly outliers. Most security threats in airports are drunk and pissed off idiots, and most terrorists are lone wolf crazies with zero experience or expertise in security.

Those aren't the ones who are actually going to do serious damage. Drunk pissed off idiots haven't planned to be carrying anything anyway. Lone wolf crazies might get organized enough to be in the line in the first place... and if they do, well, crazy is not actually mutually exclusive with smart or even knowledgeable. And you still have the assumption that it matters how smart you are. There are only so many places…

A red teamer is going to be better suited at picking the right thing to hide and right way to conceal it, not because they have more options, but because they understand which combination of options are more likely to exploit the weaknesses of their target.

So you think that's a toxic attitude, but cater to it anyway? It's like saying "I mention she's whites because racists might not care otherwise".

That's not really an equivalent statement. In general, women do face more harassment and unwanted touching, which often doesn't translate to the "white" example you give.

Because non-white people don't face more harassment from leos?

I'm saying exactly the opposite. Your example statement being equivalent to the one I gave would imply that white people face more harassment, which isn't the case.

But that isn't relevant to the point being made. Say "I mention they are black to pander to black supremists" if you wish.
