Wasn't it good that he kept talking though? Sorry for being crass, but I'd prefer him loosing this case.

Thanks for correcting. I can be a (non-correcting) grammar nazi in Swedish , so I wholeheartedly accept your critique.

I'm not a native English speaker and I tend to make this mistake if I don't think twice.

This time I just typed without thinking twice, hence the outcome.

This thread derailing into a discussion about my spelling mistake will probably make me think thrice before I write this word the next time. :D

I, too, deign not interact with proles daring to converse via their phones. If someone makes an obvious typo on a portable keyboard, they're clearly too ignorant to deserve my precious time.

My brother, I beseech thee reconsider your disdain for the minor foibles of the lower classes.

"Lose" is pronounced with the "oo" sound like in "ooze", "tool", or "moot". I think people get tripped up on that and spell it the way it sounds.

Anyone taking bets if he will obey the injunction? My feeling is that his ego will not let him do so.

That's a good way to find that judges also have fairly hefty egos, and the ability to jail you for impacting it.

I'm taking bets matt will just do a "I bet you my ego is bigger" and end up going to jail for contempt of court for 10 years.

And then the day he gets out he'll continue the feud.

Rooted in speculation about why this meltdown occurred in the first place: be very careful about taking money, as well as the amount and who from. My guess from day one is that Matt was put under pressure from investors and this was the only "fix" he saw. A real shame to see such a great legacy flushed for zero ROI.

Matt has claimed[1] before to be "post-economic", i.e. has enough money that it doesn't matter to him anymore. It's hard not to see this as personal, not financial. [1] https://x.com/sereedmedia/status/1839394786622722432

That was before he made tons of horrible angel investments - https://pitchbook.com/profiles/investor/106035-94#exits you can see how many of his portfolio are out of business or near death.

Yeah, they even showed they knew what the person meant. They were curious about why the person chose that particular word as it’s occurred frequently enough to make them wonder how/why it happens. If you know the answer I’d be happy to hear it.

Not the asker, but I have the same curiosity, as this phenomenon does not seem to occur with other words in English. I suspect it has something to do with "lose" being the only English word with the "oo" vowel followed by an "s", but I find it fascinating that this mistake can occur. And almost exclusively it is made by native English speakers.

There’s a community of users to think about… I think Matt needs to be replaced, and while the “what” may be arguable, he loses hard on the “how”.

That was Blackwater ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackwater_(company) ), no relation.

Someone should found "BlackFire" and "BlackAir" to complete the ancient elements.

The BlackElements existed in harmony until one day etc
