Where did all the money go?
The 7.5 billion? To the company that previously owned Grubhub. I believe that's how much Just Eat paid for it.
Where did the valuation go? Doordash and Uber Eats managed to eat them alive.

It's kinda funny since they beat Uber in the bidding war and Uber is probably one of two reasons why it's only worth 650 million now.

They raised 250m and spent 150m cash on GrubHub with 500 in debt.

Looks like it's "Fred's Meat and Bread" which is different than the Meet & Bread chain in Vancouver, Calgary, and Austin.

In some jurisdictions ( e.g. UK and India) they have to be publicly announced, though that's becoming less common. TL; DR It is incredibly wrong to suggest private companies don't have a market cap. As in finance 101 wrong.
You don't think lack of liquidity, small number of transactions etc casts some doubt on the "true value" of those shares?
Did they really go from some big number to some small number in an eyeblink with this latest transaction?

#139Ghost kitchens are the biggest scam in the food delivery world. why would anyone pay for an unsanitary kitchen to fry them up some frozen food?
My buddy ordered from a spot called "Mega Quesadilla" and was raving about it. Turns out the ghost kitchen was just an IHOP making quesadillas.
And there's nothing wrong with that. IHOP has a well equipped kitchen and great cooks. And making a quesadilla isn't exactly rocket science.

I prefer putting together my order with the menu on my phone, adding notes and having a moment to think about those notes, adding delivery instructions, tipping with the same credit card I pay with, tracking my order, having an order history I can view, and not bothering people who are busy running a restaurant and don't need to be talking to me on the phone since this has all been automated for…
