Heart disease isn't contagious
HIV is but we don't force carriers to self isolate
If it's were, it absolutely would require isolation upon infection.

So like usual around this time then Dunno why you're downing me but... The data is all here https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas...
That data shows 151 free out of 1033 adult critical care beds in London in January 2019 (14.6% free)
Ignorant US Guy here: I had to google to learn a 'Fortnight' is 14-days / 2 weeks.
??? Is this not an extremely common phrase? I'm not from the UK (or the US) but... I've never considered this phrase is not known in America?

If you ignore the dead and dying, yes, everything is just fine.
https://covidtracking.com/data/charts/currently-hospitalized... hospitalization by state: 342 per million FL 569 per million CA 444 per million PA 442 per million NY Can anyone point me to similar chart for death per million, by state, over time?

~1700 people per day die of heart disease in America and have done so for decades. I think we should shut down the economy until we can get everyone's heart healthy.
That'd make more sense if heart disease had a significant chance of killing people breathing the same air as you.
And yet we still have idiots here in the UK saying things ranging from: * coronavirus is invented as a government power grab * the government locking down is a deliberate ploy to kill small businesses * the government should just let this run its course, it’s Just A Flu TM * hospitals are actually empty (the “proof” being people recording empty waiting rooms in outpatient departments on bank holiday weekends) * coron…
> the government should just let this run its course Isn't it just an opinion? I personally think that way. Why wouldn't I be allowed to think that?

You’re allowed to think it, it’s just patently idiotic. Our hospitals would be overwhelmed, the morality rate would skyrocket amongst COVID and non-COVID patients alike.
It is crazy how people opinion like mine is fully ignored in Europe. today we tolerate flu deaths so that people can live freely, why shouldn't we tolerate covid deaths to live freely?

You’re totally allowed to have that opinion and other people are totally allowed to think it’s idiotic, unless I’m missing you’re point?
Well then why do some people think it is idiotic?

A colleague made the point that we need more pictures of overflowing morgues and ICUs and (like is happening in LA) people waiting in an ambulance for 7-8 hours (and some of those people dying because of it). Just like the US government banned (discouraged?) pictures of caskets coming back from war. These images need to be on the news and on news websites 24/7.
