Windows architecture is better. It is from the 1990s (ad was very advanced at the time), while Linux architecture is from the 1960s.

One reason is that Linux has no backwards compatibility and to maintain each piece of software in the repos, you need people. It is linear: more software requires more maintainers, otherwise the software stops to compile in a year or two.

No, Windhawk's rule for all mods is that they do not permanent changes, including to the registry. Disabling the mod and rebooting will erase all effects.

In Linux such kind of hacking is impossible at all. You cannot make Qt4 to look like Qt3.

It's not just for "nerds" if that's what you're implying. I use the "Multirow taskbar for Windows 11" Windhawk mod because I recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, which removed the ability to have more than one row on the taskbar. There's a malware risk in literally every piece of software. Windows itself behaves as malware with all the telemetry it gathers.

The tiny fraction of computer users who have the capability and interest to do this qualifies as nerds in my book. I did not realize this was still a pejorative on a forum where we are mostly all technical experts in some domain or another. It is your computer - go nuts.

What nerd capability do you need to install an app, type in a search bar and click install?

I don't need one. Look into how this stuff works. It's a pile of scripts and registry edits. It's very sloppy. Windows isn't Linux. The OS does not expect the user to do stuff like this and it's not built for it. This is how you get the "windows sucks it's always weird and broken" type people. Sure, you can do it, but you WILL have goofy unexplained problems if you mod your system with this stuff. If you want windows to be stable, stop fucking with it.

Are you sure about this? The US, like most countries with extensive intelligence capabilities, does not have a good track record of convincing their citizens of doing shady things [1].
