I also see just black text on white, on iOS / Mobile Safari.

I assumed it was a joke, like motherfuckingwebsite.com. But it seems that other people are seeing colors.

Thanks for the background! It leaves me confused since this is marketed for internet lovers yet the connection to a love for the internet isn’t answered. For instance, I see a bunch of Cat6 cable colors as your choices, or perhaps you could’ve selected a ranked collection of the most popular colors used on the internet, or even the colors for best legibility on digital screens. Where’s the connection, what in particular should fans of the internet be drawn to about your particular palette?

I'm confused by the usage of the word color scheme.

To me a color scheme is something like monokai. A small number of colors that go well together. The application (eg syntax highlighting in a code editor) is obvious and easy. This is just...lots of monochrome colors? How would I use this? Not trying to be dismissive, I'm just confused.

I agree. A color scheme website should do color schemes right. Beside the white background, why colors are the same in light and dark mode?

A well thought out color palette should have light, dark and low/high contrast variants.
