Read between the lines. They are marketing for people who don't want to wear a mask but have to. These "masks" are designed to do the bare minimum to get you onto an airplane. It's not supposed to protect you.
Surgical masks do the same. They're easy to breathe in, they offer little protection, and you can board an airplane with them. I don't see the point.
Surgical masks use static electricity to attract particles, they aren't as good as N95 but still offer protection compared to nothing.
