Not a fan of Apple, but x86 is a mess and I'd love to see companies pushing for its replacement.
What's the issue with x86? Genuinely asking
It has a lot of historical baggage, most notably implicit interdependencies that make it hard/impossible to optimize and reorder stuff. We're entering an era of many-core processors, and IMHO we'll absolutely have to move to a RISC architecture, and the sooner we get that box checked, the better.
