Have you asked asian americans if they like to be displayed as the model minority? I mean in Europe jews are the model minority, it's obviously true now, it was not the case before as we all know.

I don't see how it's relevant if they want to be displayed that way or not. Also, as I already mentioned I think it's wrong to group such a diverse population into a single grouping, so I'm not sure who is the "they" you are referring to? Chinese immigrants? Indian immigrants? Maybe Iranian immigrants?

The point is usually the "model minorities" are the subgroups that are treated well by the rest of the population.

That's why they can unleash their true potential in the first place.

So is that a good argument for treating other people badly?

That should be especially clear in a country like the US where the original inhabitants have been wiped out and everyone is an immigrant.

Private universities in and of itself is a bizarre idea. These institutions give out degrees recognized by governments which correspond to the legal competence to practice law or to perform surgery.
