#12Hopefully because Hackernews was becoming NSANews.com. That shit was obnoxious. When 20 of the top 25 posts are about one topic you might as well open a new tab and do a search for that topic.
I don't mind the NSA articles, since I can just skip them depending on my mood, but I was a bit miffed that the iPhone 5S thread was all about "zomg fingerprints!" Nobody wanted to talk about 64-bit A7, the uses of the fingerprint sensor, etc.
