To be pedantic, a platform owner can do whatever they want with their platform. That's why its important to run platforms that you own yourself and not those that are owned by others. Windows is not yours, macOS is not yours, etc. There's only one solution...
Or i guess running netbsd, freebsd reactos, redox, sculpt, gnu hurd, linux as alternatives.
