Having read the article it seems like the new budget cuts costs by having people work remotely instead of having an expensive office in Manhattan. I understand why employees would complain about that but the article is blowing this way out of proportion

The events/timeline is shown and the full emails sent to Goddard employees are provided. Don't dismiss this as people complaining about a WFH policy--the buildings are being demolished.

...oh, but make no mistake, if you asked them, they'd probably vigorously deny they are anti-science - as long as the science happens in properly "unbiased" private companies, like SpaceX.
