#12When I am in learning mode, I try to mix up a 'breadth first' approach with an occasional 'depth first' method.
Pick up enough tidbits of information about a few popular topics so you can have a half-way intelligent conversation about them. Dive into detail on just a few of them so you know more than the average person about those.
Don't worry that you can't do either of these approaches for every single topic possible.

#14This is entertainment. You can enjoy a random movie without watching the IMDB top 100 first. You can live without a deep understanding of the Afghan wars. You don't need to have an opinion on the latest AI trend.
My reading list is a wishlist. When I have time, I pick something interesting from it. I don't feel any obligation to finish it, or even to keep it from growing. It's an act of curation, not aggregation.

#16Knowledge ? 99% of it is propaganda and crap.

#17You/We don't. Simply not possible. The important (to you and your work) will show themselves. And/or limit what you spend your time with. Least amount of info/least amount of time (you also need time to 'digest' all that info and connect the dots).

#19Try to recognize redundant information: if there is more than one version of something, it is some entity's implementation/opinion/recommendation/product of some general concept. E.g. there is only one real "programming language" that your computer cares about, machine code (few ISAs generally, of course), and the redundant noise comes from all other programming languages that we humans care and fight. Same is for computer programs: there is only one real computer program: operating system kernel (few OS's + bootloaders, of course), and all other software is just redundant noise that is loaded by the OS. Same applies for religions: if people believe in different gods, well, redundant noise if watched from outside. Political parties, countries, currencies, companies.. redundant implementations of general concept. Purify yourself from redundant information - don't let special cases confuse from the general case!

#20* - especially things like: "newsletters, podcasts, Youtube videos, (tech) news, articles, and (of course) books"
