I think that was intended to be a joke, but in all seriousness military service can be a great way for men (and women of course too, but we're talking about men here :) ) to serve. Military service is about much more than going to war and fighting in combat. Humanitarian missions are common. Many medical and technological advances have come from the military. It is also a great mentorship program for young adults. I'…
