#12Very nice features and component system. Does this entirely run on WebGL or on Canvas2d ?
I think it's entirely WebGL.

#13the blog is slightly outdated — 3000 is out of beta and can be used now. Here is a fun game built with it: https://replit.com/@slmjkdbtl/Bean-Survivor
Re: Kaboom.js 3000
#14I was kind of hoping this was a remake of Kaboom! the Atari game. It was one of the first games that I "mastered". I made my mom take a photo of me in front of the TV with my high score. IIRC you could send it in to Atari and get a badge of some kind. Or maybe it was a patch for your jeans - remember them?
Anyhow, the photo came out horribly because she used a flash. You couldn't see my score on the TV. It was just a bright reflection of the flash bulb.
I'm not sure I've ever gotten over that. What could have been... How my life would be different... If only I got to go to school with my shiny Kaboom! badge or patch or sticker or whatever it was. The kids would have cheered. The principal would have given me the day off. I could have been somebody!

#15This looks like a fun way to get into programming. I'll have my kids check it out!
Depending on their age and interests, scratch might be a good first step. It's extremely accessible.
Then kaboom seems like a really fun next step. You can get from zero to fun really quickly.
