Yeah I know and it doesn't change my statement or the advice I would give to anyone young or old.

Your statement is simply statistically unlikely. If you really think "no one you know" uses those social media, then you should ask a statistically significant amount of people and verify, because perhaps you just think they don't use it while they actually do.

In NZ, older usage of Instagram is only like 3.2 %.

No older people I know even use or know about Instagram or TikTok or whatever the latest flash in a pan is. And if they were to ask me about any of them i would advise them to avoid them all like the plague to society they are.

My wife is 48 and loves TikTok. As do many coworkers 40 to 60. Personally, I don't get it, but it is popular in every age group I know.

I don't consider 40 to 60 older or boomer. In NZ boomer usage of Instagram is 3.2%.
