#12Democratic voting with: 1) Anonymity 2) Public, widespread and easy verifiability of the technology running 3) Security against voting fraud 4) Verifiability of each vote legitimacy after the voting take place As it stands today, paper is still the technology that gets the closest, it seems.
What would that look like, if not a very expensive pencil?
Anything on the internet is a giant violation of (1) and (3), so you're basically left with some variant of a polling place with voting booths. At that point the specific technology you use to actually count the votes is immaterial.
