Paywalled... I wonder if there is a way to avoid such posts.

I know there are ways around it, but I find that objectionable. Newspapers are certainly free to charge for their content.

I just don't understand why it's so expensive. A single newspaper should not cost as much as Netflix.

My new business model: I will pair program with you but not really. You can explain your thoughts and I will sometimes nod approvingly. And ask about my rates for taking all the blame!

Are you a rubber duck?

My pronouns can be anything you want them to be.

Actually Netflix, with all the garbage (most of the catalogue) on it (especially the N branded formula ones), must not cost anywhere close to a single newspaper!

This actually has high value, especially if you include asking meaningful questions.

What if you just say hmmm, are you sure? from time to time?

hmmm, are you sure?

I find it difficult to believe that operating a major newspaper is as expensive as licensing a film catalog.

Admittedly I have no specialty on either and could be completely wrong.

I also know many papers are local, where as films tend to have a broad audience.

I think there has to be a better way. News is definitely ripe for innovation just like Apple and Spotify did to music.

I end up finding articles from the whatever paper is local to Lincoln NB and I think they deserve to get paid. But sorry: I am not subscribing to the Lincoln Herald or Brisbane Times or whatever local paper just because I happened to end up on one of your articles from 4 years ago through a search.

There has to be a better way.
