#13Why are people so surprised he fired a bunch of people via Zoom? How does one fire people during covid? He wasn't going to call them into the office. Now, I understand that (at least on the surface) this guy seems like a bad guy, so, sure, give him hell if it's deserved, but why the focus on a zoom firing?
Yeah, good call.. feel free to remove "Zoom" as you're reading. I agree, it's irrelevant in some aspects, however, i would posit he likened to the idea of Zoom for dismissing his staff, as he could do this without actually looking into the the 'whites of their eyes' while dismissing them.
Don't "posit" an emotionally loaded claim without at least some shred of evidence. That's how you get heat, not light.

#14Company I worked at that was bought, all layoffs were handled by an outside company. The CEO hardly mentioned it, let alone showed up to announce it…
Even divorce papers are sent by mail or exchanged through lawyers.
And if someone is not needed for the job anymore people feel it should by as dramataic as reality tv.
