By statements like that, people who worked at Apple under Steve should be able to tell if this is a true story or not.

It does inasmuch as he says “yes”. Everything else in that answer, fiction or not, doesn’t even say anything about working hard. He can do everything in that passage and still only work four hours a day for all we know.
