There are terrible lonely and desperate people in the world, yes. I'm surprised that fact could be lost on anyone. Poor, unattractive, unfit men have almost no opportunity to sleep with any women whatsoever and zero chance of sleeping with an attractive woman unless they pay for it. Unattractive, unfit women have more opportunity, but with increasingly unsafe partners the more undesirable the woman.
Simulators and robots will bring a lot of happiness to a lot of ugly people. It will be a good thing.

But you are speaking to the guy who finds it easier to communicate with machines than people a lot of the time, and lets say I'm going through a dry spell, I have no religious or esoteric beliefs to cloud my opnion or judgement. I still see no redemption and only compounded misery in a product like this.
