Incredible. They had all their mission-critical infrastructure in a single data center. How many billions of dollars do they make per year? And they can't afford even a tiny bit of redundancy? If I were a customer, I'd use this as a sign that this company is not technically competent enough to manage my money.

Wonder if it was the switchgear that failed. Amazon uses custom firmware in its switchgears because this happens so often (Superbowl 2013 etc.)

Local fire Department commented on their facebook page [1] that dust from construction triggered the fire suppression system and not a fire. [1] https://www.facebook.com/LakeJoFD
