Give AdGuard a shot, it works on IOS and Android for native apps as it MITM all your traffic! _a random bypasser yells_ ps. Not sure if it works on instagram, but works fine on youtube and the like.
I have every sympathy with the writer here, but they seem to have missed the obvious way to opt out, which is to just not use the website/app that is upsetting them.
Telling them "Use a different service, which your friends don't use." doesn't add anything useful.
