White paper about stack pls?

Is "white paper" what the kids these days use to refer to some basic technical chit chat? Thanks, cryptocurrencies/ICOs.

Yea, fuck you guys for giving us a term for something useful. It really ruined our day.

I would've gotten away with vague references to how the software works if it weren't for you damn kids!

White paper was a thing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_paper) before people recently started using it to mean "any possibly technical information saved in a two-column PDF".

Let's not suggest that "white paper" is more appropriate than "blog post" or "HN comment" as a medium for partaking in the HN tradition of sharing some details about one's stack. I'd be hard-pressed to believe that OP was literally asking for one, too.

I don’t see how asking for one of these is unreasonable. It’s certainly preferable to a blog post or HN comment!
