It's always free 1-day shipping in the UK. I actually got a micro-USB 3 cable with free same-day shipping recently. Cost me £6. No idea how they make money on that.

OTOH, if you have a reliable distribution system, it's cheaper for you yourself if you can deliver your goods as soon as possible. Every bought item sitting in the warehouse is occupying space that you could put something else in your inventory.
At least, that's what it seems like to me as a layman.
