Agreed. Curation is done with the mind not the hand. And since there's no other way to do it, you can drop the mind and just say curated.

Can you elaborate? I've been describing https://www.findlectures.com similarly to people, and I've had a lot of positive feedback. There is some frustration from the impersonality of the poorer implemented AI recommenders.

Algorithms can "curate" things nowadays, but often do so poorly. "Hand" implies a person is doing the curation and not an algorithm. I could see people preferring a person over an algorithm.
A "curated feed" doesn't imply a human is curating the feed anymore.

Agreed. 'Curated' is currently being over-used to the point of parody. Any list of things made by a person is a curation.
One could easily describe a grocery list as a 'a thoughtfully curated selection of produce and pantry goods.'
