Yesterday I was playing around and I started working on the beginnings of a library search engine built with ElasticSearch
I personally like the idea, but it needs a good community to contribute and maintain quality.
The basic idea is that the user submits a query such as, "Image caching on Android" and the search engine spits out the "top" libraries as a card. The card would have the name, description, tutorial links and a showcase of apps using the plugin.
In the "top" calculation there will be things such as community ranking, whether or not it's well maintained etc.
Of course the community can make changes and contribute and it could be a hacker search engine.
Would you guys be interested? Even though I like it, it needs a community for it to be effective.
