New Orleans is testing Carbyne’s AI-powered Emergency Call Triage software

This sounds a little dystopian. How confident are they that this system is reliable? Any downtime could literally result in deaths. I would be highly skeptical of such a system being put in place in my city, not to mention the private company being paid to provide these services

Honest question: what type of insurance covers a catastrophic failure when "AI" is implemented like this?

I'm not familiar with the racial demographics but I do know New Orleans is one of the poorest, so not sure what you are trying to say here.

If anything you can just look up federal statistics to answer your own questions.

why subject human operators to so much stress when it can be better handled by AI ? isn't that the humane thing to do ?
