She was more charitable in the inteview over on the Plain English YouTube channel[1], though based on what she said there it sounded like she had missed some points of the movie.

The first part of the interview is an interesting discussion about translating and adapting works like that of Homer, do recommend giving that a listen.

‘Wilson criticized Nolan’s adaptation for lacking “psychological, emotional, political and ethical depth.”’

This has been my criticism of all of Nolan’s work that I have seen. The Dark Knight trilogy was cold, emotionless and lacked humanity. He’s basically an overrated cinematographer.

to me it was perfect for given setting and characters. Maybe your emotional inner-world is different.
