Re: Show HN: imglab – Image optimization and processing on-demand

After one year of offering our service to some customers, as an on-premises service, we have launched the cloud version of our image optimization and processing tool, imglab.

We are happy with what has been achieved in terms of features:

- Support for modern image formats like WebP and AVIF.

- Smart cropping, including face detection (and many more options). [1]

- Easy watermarking. [2]

- Image composition and custom masking. [3]

- Image animation support for GIF and WebP.

- Native integration libraries for Javascript, Ruby, and Elixir.

- A friendly but powerful API (with what we believe is good documentation [4]).

Features we are working on right now:

- Experimental support for JPEG XL (we are really excited about this new format).

- Complex text rendering, to label images and create banners.

- Native libraries for Python, Go, and PHP.

- NSFW detection.

We are happy to hear some feedback and comments from you about our new product.
