Anyone seeing name resolution issues in AWS? Some internal monitors started failing about an hour ago with name resolution issues. Quad9 is returning SERVFAIL for status.aws.amazon.com

#5AWS has just posted the following to their health dashboard:
> 7:21 PM PDT We are aware of intermediate DNS resolution issues for certain specific AWS names. This is due to an issue with third-party DNS provider outside AWS. DNS queries for domains hosted on Route 53 are operating without any issues at this time. We are actively working with the third-party DNS provider to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

#6We’re seeing RDS dns hostname resolution errors as well. It’s been happening for an hour and a half now.
Multiple people have tweeted to @awssupport but they haven’t acknowledged the outage yet.

Same here. AWS is blaming some third party without naming names?

#10Seeing this all across our EC2 fleet for anything on AWS. I think their service bulletin is underselling the severity because we are not using any third party providers. https://phd.aws.amazon.com/phd/home#/account/dashboard/open-...
